INSURANCE LAW AND LEGISLATIVE PRACTICE
Glover & Van Cott provides a broad range of legal services to domestic and foreign insurers with respect to corporate and regulatory matters. Members of the firm have also served as Arizona legislative counsel to a number of national insurance trade associations and have represented the Arizona and Nebraska Departments of Insurance in receivership proceedings.
Its attorneys have recognized expertise in all areas of insurance practice, including commercial litigation relating to insurance matters. The firm has handled litigation involving reinsurance benefits, third party administrators, officer and director liability, fidelity bonds and errors and omissions policies, fraud, misappropriation, statutory violations, bad faith defense, and conversion.
The firm has also negotiated and drafted life reinsurance assumption agreements, administrative agreements, and general agency agreements on behalf of clients. The firm has also represented parties in "Form A" proceedings before the Arizona Department of Insurance involving acquisitions of insurers.
