DARI SYLVIA HING was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1956, but has been an Arizona resident since she was two years old, and is a third generation Arizonan. She graduated at the top one percent of her high school class, where she also ranked number one on the varsity tennis team and number three in Juniors in the Southwest Tennis Association. She attended Stanford University and graduated in 1978 with degrees in both political science and human biology. While at Stanford, she played for the women's varsity tennis team. She graduated from law school at the University of California at Berkeley, (Boalt Hall), in 1981.
She joined a Scottsdale firm in 1982 after practicing with a large Phoenix firm. In December 1989, she co-founded the law firm of Glover & Van Cott.
Her focus is in the commercial law area, including real estate, construction, general corporate matters, insurance, and legislative lobbying and bill drafting.
She is an avid student of architecture and skilled in the construction trades. She recently built her own contemporary adobe home.
She is currently a member of the State Bar of Arizona and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also has an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
