MICHAEL R. GLOVER

MICHAEL REMO GLOVER, the son of a career military father, was born in 1957 in Kenai, Alaska and found himself moving from Alaska to Kansas before settling in Monterey, California, where he attended the York Preparatory School on a full academic scholarship.

He attended Stanford University on a four-year scholarship, completing a degree in 1979 in political science with an emphasis in history and economics. He attended law school at the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) where he graduated in 1982. He was selected as an associate editor for the California Law Review at the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall.

In 1982, he published The Right to Privacy of Prospective Jurors during Voir Dire, Calif. Law Review, Vol. 70, No. 3, May 1982. During law school he was the recipient of a Graduate Opportunity Fellowship and was also selected to be a member of the law school?s Moot Court Board. He was a participant in the McBaine Honors Moot Court Competition, an oral advocacy competition sponsored by the law school.

He co-founded Glover & Van Cott in December 1989, after practicing from 1982 to 1986 with another Phoenix firm and from 1986 to 1989 with a Scottsdale firm, where he was a partner. He has been involved in major commercial litigation, including contract disputes, accountant liability, lender liability, partnership disputes, director and officer liability claims, securities litigation, real estate litigation, and a wide range of insurance-related disputes.

In addition to being admitted to practice in Arizona, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Districts of Arizona and Northern California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also has an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
